Platypus II is a spacious 34-foot catamaran available for private charter on Sydney Harbour, accommodating up to 30 guests. Unlike a typical catamaran layout, it’s designed as one large open-plan entertaining space, giving guests room to move, mingle and dance throughout the cruise rather than being confined to separate zones. Up front, guests can relax on the trampoline sun beds, while a gas BBQ on board makes it a popular choice for warm-weather gatherings. The flexible layout suits a wide range of occasions, from birthday cruises and Australia Day celebrations to corporate functions or simply a relaxed day on the water with friends.
The vessel comes equipped with the essentials including eskies, BBQ and easy water access for swimming, and guests have the option to bring their own food and drinks or arrange catering. Rates start from $400 per hour in the cooler months and rise seasonally through summer and December, with Saturdays priced higher across the peak periods. Extras such as ice, BYO and wharf fees are charged separately, and public holidays or Christmas Day attract a surcharge on the total.
